All About Babies!

These two cards are a welcome baby swap over on Splticoast. I wanted to remain neutral with both cards, so I used fairly simple stamps and generic color schemes. White is such a clean, crisp color to use when making cards for little ones, and ofcourse the scallop edges are just darling, as well!

BOO!

These cards are for Kate's annual Spoktacular swap. I picked up the pattern paper at JoAnn Fabric for 10 cents a sheet on clearance, and fell in love with it immediately! I use SU! Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron. The digital stamps are freebies I found on a blog (sorry, I cannot find the link now, but if these are yours, PLEASE let me known and I will post proper credit.). Accessories are ribbon and dew drops on the full cards, and crystal and ribbon on the 3 x 3 card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tall & Skinny

This card is for Splitcoast Stamper's weekly Clean and Simple Challenge. The challenge, or theme, this week is to make tall and skinny cards. This card measures 4" x 9" and will fit into a business-sized envelope.

Recipe:

SU! Cardstock-- whisper white, pacific point
Accessories-- clear embossing powder, 7/8" red grosgrain ribbon

Father's Day

I wanted to make a card for my dad for Father's day, and really wanted the card to be clean. He likes the classic cars, so I pulled that out, and went from there. I used basic colors (SU! Whisper White, Real Red, Night of Navy, and Basic Brown), then embellished with 3 silver brads and some texture lines at the top. The image is from Fiskar's Clear Stamps "Twist 'n Shout."

Oh, So Punny!

The theme this week over on Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple Challenges is to have a play on words, and being an english teacher, I absolutely love puns! So here goes:
This first photo is the "treat" my daughter is passing out to her classmates on the last day of school. On the front of the tag there is a a sunshine from SU! Crayon Cuties (i think!). On the back side it says, "Have a SUN-sational Summer!"
Next up is the card I made for her teachers. on the outside is a simple flower blooming from a heart. The inside reads, "Bloom where you are planted." The stamp is an old one from Heidi Grace clear stamp set named "Tag Time."
This card, along with the next two, are digital stamps from Pink Petticoat stamps. So many of their sets are pun related, but these animals really get me. As a teacher, I love to keep several TY and get well cards on hand to use as needed. These were SUP-AH simple to make, so I will probably make up a few dozen to keep on hand next year. Thanks for stopping by!

Celebrate the Summer

I am back in the card making mood once again! Summer is almost here, I am creating like crazy, and in love with stamping again! This card was inspired by cards at Better Homes and Gardens. The reds and greens remind me of picking strawberries with my DD.
