Halloweenie Friends going BANANAS!

Aren't these little buddies ADORABLE???? I was inspired by Cryth over on Splitcoast Stampers. These little cuties are quick and easy to make, and use up all those little scraps of paper ya have left over. A witch is next on my list to try to make, she'll probably look a lot like franny k. stein, but with a triangular hat. 2 Red Bananas posted a "box, bags, or wrapping" challenge this week, so I decided it was time to finally sit down and punch these lil' babies out!

How to make these? SU! scallop punch, googlie eyes, and markers-- that's it! What's in the middle? A chocolate coin! Oh, and I used a glue dot to adhere a punched-out scallop circle to each side of the chocolate coin. It took me all of 30 minutes to create 21 of my Halloweenie friends this morning, and that includes glue-drying time!

SSW 15

I was FINALLY able to get the design to work out in a way to make me happy for SSW 15. I love the golds, reds, and purples on this card, so autumn like! It is difficult to see in the picture, but each page of DP has a printed pattern on it. The purple is covered in a diamond pattern and the gold has falling leaves on it. i SO LOVE this card!

Isn't this cute? I took a 6" "Juicy Apple" red pillar candle that I purchased at Michael's for 20 cents on clearance, dressed it up, and VIOLA~ a cute little giftie for my DD's preschool teachers, or even my co-workers for the holidays. And at only 20 cents each, you know I cleared all of them off the shelf at Michaels!

I cut a piece of brown cardstock in the shape of a leaf, used a stylus to add vein details to the leaf and curl it a bit. Attached to the wax candle with a small brad, which was pushed directly into the candle. With the wick standing straight up, it resembles a stem. Around the bottom I adhered stickers letters (rub-ons work too!) to spell out Apples {4} Teacher.

Trick or Treat~

... Smell my feet, Gimme something good to eat! c'mon, you know you have said that once or twice in your life. ;) This card was created using the sketch posted on 2 Red Bananas last Sunday, Sept. 13. I am in the autumn mood, bring on the ghosts & goblins, pumpkins and candies! The cool crisp night and warm sunny days are my favorite part of autumn.

Is it Friday yet?????

Oh, man! This has been a CRAZY week-- I never thought Friday would come, and now that it is finally here, I cannot believe how little I got done this week. It's a long weekend for me, no school on Monday or Tuesday for the Delaware County Fair. YEAH! Sleeping in, relaxing and crafting, who knows what the weekend will bring for me. I will post again, probably Saturday night, with a card.

Keeping it C-A-S!

I am really liking the CAS style of cards, it is funny, I LOVE the CAS, but also LOVE the lots o' layers look. I go from one extreme to the other! Check out the CAS challenge thread over on Splitcoast!

CAS again

CAS 30 over on Splitcoast Stampers wanted us to make-over a card we previously created. Wellllllll, as I was creating a card for Tuesday Morning Sketch, I immediately thought of this make-over for it. Here's the original card, and this is my simply made over card. Although, as I type this, I realize it is a pretty crappy picture of the card, since it is a white card photographed with a white background. DUH, ME! oh, well, if I get time, I will retake the pic and post again.

Why is it every time my DD is in the room, I reach for my many shades of purple cardstock??? Oh well, this card still came out great. Finally had a chance to work on this card this morning, as I was up at 6:30 am for some reason.

Tuesday Mornings...

I really miss getting up early on Tuesday mornings anticipating the latest sketch Melissa posts. But, summer is over, and I must return to work. As much as I love seeing the posts right away in the mornings, I love my job and paychecks more! ;) So, my stamping is put aside once again, and left for the weekends. Here is my card for Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Also, this card was inspired by the photo posted on BasicGray challenges, I so wanted to do something bright and cheery.

Ink: SU! Basic Brown
Stamps: SU! So Many Scallops
