First off, if you are reading this, I got the time-stamp posting thing correct this time! Woohoo! Now, on to the info you all come here for~

This card is from 2 challenges: CAS25 on Splitcoast Stampers and 2 Red Bananas weekly challenge. CAS25 was an inspiration challenge, based upon a card in the first post. The card had cherries on it and was so darn cute! 2RB wanted us to "spell it out" by implementing letter stickers or chipboard letters. On Thursday, Cute Card Thursday posted a challenge for "fruit" to be incorporated in the design. So here are the deets:

DEETS~

Cardstock: DCWV black #1, White #1; Bazzill Bling Jade green; Colorbok plaid vellum

Ink: Colorbox Dragonfly black pigment ink

Stamps: Michael's $1 cherries, "so sweet" sentiment

Accessories: Offray checkered ribbon; teal chipboard letters (from Target $1 spot); Copics Markers [0 colorless blender; R27 Cadium Red, R29 Lipstick Red; G07 Nile Green; PrismaColor Marker Green Tea]; green and red Twinklette markers

The more the merrier!

Where to begin... well, this little cutie is another Anya from The Greeting Farm stamps, she is a limited edition release from TGF, so go get her now! (Thanks, Rae!) This card is workin' it on many levels, so let's run down the list now:

Cute Card Thursday: use eyelets (giant one on side)

Splendid Stamping with TGF: flower and at least 1 butter fly (DP paper covered in butterflies and flowers, prima in Hippie's hair)

Mojo Monday: sketch layout from last week
yep, i think that is it for the challenges this baby covers. Now, on to the deets~

Deets:
Cardstock: Bazzill Cherry Red, Lemon Yellow, printed paper
Ink: Momento Tuxedo black
Image: TGF Hippie Anya
Accessories: We R Memory Makers large eyelet, orange 5/8" satin ribbon by Offray, Prima large and tiny flowers, Making Memories mini silver flower brad

Get your digi-on!

<------------ This little blog looks sweet and girly, and all, right? WRONG! This blog has the most awesome line of digi images of trucks, patrol cars, and more. Think Radiator Springs from Disney/Pixar's Cars movie, with all the cars that take on human personalities. So cute, and great images to D/L and color. Make sure you email Sunshine for the images. These make great "boy" things, as I need help in that area b/c I am tend to do much more girly things with Karsyn in mind.

I am off to work on a CAS card for Splitcoast, and maybe some postcards as well. Have a wonderful afternoon~

What a BUSY week I have had-- new furniture delivered, net a bunch of SCS Ho's at a shoebox swap on Saturday, family reunion with DH's family, but one of my fave card crafters sent in a special request, so in honor of her, here is a new digi. As always, all I ask is that if you use any of my digi's, please share a link to your creation, either by linking back here from your site, or leave one in my comment sections. Thanks and enjoy~

This little sweetie is doing double-duty. The sketch and colors are from Sweet Sketch Wednesday's challenge this week. Here's another attempt at CAS24 over on SplitCoast. It looks ok, but I need to go back and work it some more. I am going ot make a set of these for several of my co-workers for Back to School.
I also made a similiar Digi that says "Welcome to our School" for the new teachers in our building. I am not posting that one here, but if you want it, just contact me on here or by e-mail at go90feet@hotmail.com

Where is SUMMER!?!?!?!

Boy, I don't know about you, but I sure wish summer would arrive! There has not been one single 90* day in the month of July here, and normally we are 90+ this month. So anyways, to commemorate summer, here's a new circle DigiPhrase. Enjoy~ I am off to create some cased for back to school (I've got a *C U T E* cas card in my head right now!), will try to post tomorrow.

Double Duty Layout

This is such a clean and simple layout, I love to use it for cards as an old standby. This layout was used for 2 different challenges with similiar colors, CAS24 on SplitCoast Stampers (Right), which had requirements to use the colors turquoise, orange, and yellow; and a private challenge (Left--KJKCC002) thread that has red, orange, and yellow as requirements.

Left card (KJKCC002)
Cardstock: Bazzill Lemon Yellow, White, Melon Orange
Ink: SU! Real Red
Accessories: Offray 5/8" orange satin ribbon, green brad, orange and yellow flowers

Right Card (CAS24)
Cardstock: DCWV Blue #3, Bazzill Lemon Yellow
Ink: SU! Only Orange
Accessories: Offray 5/8" orange satin ribbon, turquoise, yellow, and orange flowers, turquois brad

Here's another circular DigiPhrase I made, I think it will go great with Hanna Stamps' Ballet Sophie, which is an adorable little image. Enjoy!

a "HOLE" new shape-- and 3 more projects

This is a new DigiPhrase I created to be used with the 1" circle punch, it goes great with some images with from Inktegrity by Joni ;). Ok, on to the creations...

This is a tag I made using an image from Inktegrity by Joni, as well as the world stamp form some miscellaneous set I picked up a discount crafting outlet. Pretty in pink and white cardstock from Bazzill, images colored in with copics, and stamped in SU! basic brown ink. Paper Studio Pink-dashed ribbon from hobby lobby.

This is another creation with Inktegrity by Joni images. I used an old photo mat, altered it with some DP from DCWV Animal Crackers Stack and DCWV textured navy cardstock. The chipboard letter are leftover from a scrapbook page I did at Christams for Karysn (I really wanted it to say "My Guy" but I could not find the "g"), and brads from Joann's. Again, the image is colored in with copics/prisma markers, along with some colored pencils.

Finally, this little gal is a gift from a friend. She so wants to be part of her Daddy and big bro's world, so "Let's Play, Daddy" seemed so appropriate. When my DH is watching games, Karsyn will grab her football and crawl right up in his lap and ask him to play. Too darling!
I created this card for 2 challenges: 2 Red Bananas and Card Patterns.
CP posted a sketch pattern this week, and 2RB's challenge was to "reduce, reuse, or recycle." The black, white and green-dotted cardstock was pulled from my scrap bin to reduce waste, the pink ribbon was recycled from a bubble bath bottle, and I reused the image from another project that just didn't quite pan out.
So anyways, this whole set of work was a bunch of recycling, reusing, reducing, incorporating images from Inktegrety by Joni. Thanks for looking!

2-in-1.... and I am BACK!

WOW~ we had a great time up on the islands, but am glad to be home again at my crafting space. I was trying my darndest to come up with a design for a card for a DT submission, and I did while we were on vacation. All I kept thinking about was the design I came up with in the middle of one night. Silly crafting syndrome! Anyways... we got home and I immediately checked the threads on SCS for some challenges!

So this card meets the requirements for 2 challenges-- CAS23 on Splitcoast Stampers and an invite-only challenge thread I belong to SCS as well. This card SOOO exhibits my decorating style, which is clean and simple, fairly modern. It is also my personality-- smooth and easy-going, with great bursts of colorful moments all over! And since red is my FAVO color, it had to be the bursts.

I think this card would be great done in a black & white combo, or any other bright shade against the white.

Deets:

Cardstock: GP White

Ink: SU! Real Red

Accessory: 3/8" red grosgrain ribbon

Other: 3 scored lines across the bottom, but they are hard to see in the pic.

So Cool In The Pool!

This is my DD at a local waterpark, splaching it up as always! This page was created utilizing the faux wood technique from Splitcoast Stampers, and Iused the challenge posted on The Pink Elephant #22, to create a project with stars & stripes.

DEETS:
Paper: SU! Yo-Yo Yellow, Dusty Durango; Vellum; printed paper from The Paper Studio; Bazzill Cherry Red, Shimmer Blue

Ink: SU! Basic Brown

Accessories: Making Memories blue eyelets; dimensional tape; Target $1 Spot ribbon and chipboard letters; Fiskars 2-inch star punch

*** On a side note, I am leaving on vacation Monday morning, headed to the Lake Erie Islands, will be back on Thursday, so I am taking this week off from challenges, but hope to be back ready to go on Sunday morning with Banana Split Sunday Challenge!

Saturday, July 11, 2009

This card is for Cute Card Thursday's weekly challenge, and this week's challenge was to create a Thank You card for a teacher. I knew immediately I wanted to use School Riley from Hanna Stamps. I created a faux word border using a tutorial from Split Coast Stampers to go above and below the "chalk board". I wanted to keep the background neutral, so as to resemble a classroom wall, like mine.

Deets:

Paper: Bazzill tan, black, and white. SU! Dusty Durango

Ink: SU! Basic Brown (combined with SU! DD cardstock to create faux wood), Colorbox Dragonfly Black pigment

Stamps: School Riley from Hanna Stamps

Accessories: Offray "Ruler" ribbon, White Sakura gel pen, dimensional tape, Copic/Prisma markers to color image

Card Patterns 22 weekly card Sketch

I call this one my Pink Lady~ the sketch is from Card Patterns Weekly Card Sketch. Hot pink and black card stock from Bazzill, along with stamps from Prickly Pear. I accessorized with silver thread, silver leaf pen, deco edge scissors, and colored image with copic/prisma markers and silver leaf pen. I also used some crystal effects on the headlight to shine that baby up!
Being avid riders, I REALLY like this set of stamps, and we really live by the motto, "Live to Ride, Ride to LIVE!"
Ride On~

2-in-1!

This little cutie of a card meets the requirements for 2 challenges in 1 card! First off, a BIG {HUG} and TY to my friends Joni for the image. She sent me a box of crap (no, it was not on fire!) as part of a housecleaning swap, and this little stamp was included, along with the DP. My DD was born on St. Patty's Day, so that holiday is more special to me. Anyways, on to the card and challenges:

Image heat embossed with clear emvossing powerder over black pigment ink. Colored in with Copics and Prisma markers, gold coins colored in with gold Twinklette marker, some clovers colored in with green Twinklette too. Ovals cut with Nesties large classic ovals, image popped up with dimensional tape. Irish rub-on, covered with green blingy star.

Challenges Completed: Sweet Sketch Wednesday (a sketch) and The Pink Elephant (stars & stripes).

3 new DigiPhrases for you, inspired by my Pirate Card and my DD, she LOVES to sword fight

challenges, challenges, and more!

For Splendid Stamping with TGF Farm Fresh Challenge posted on July 3rd, a sketch~~ I used Matey set, some blingies, eyelets, twine, and copic markers to color in my little pirate! The DigiPhrase is available in another post here on my blog.

Hey Cupcake! This little goodie is for CAS22 over on Splitcoast & Digital Tuesday Challenge 14. Pink and white cardstock from Bazzill, scalloped edge scissors and a 1/16" hole punch create the deco edge. Cupcake image colored in with copic and prisma markers, pink frosting coated with Startdust stickles, cherry is crystal effect'ed.

Finally, 2Red Bananas challenge this week is looking for "Something Patriotic," and this is my creation. I am liking the CAS style! But then, I also love the opposite-- full of layers and frillies. Anyways, created this card with a $1 clear stamp (star), blue printed paper from Hobby Lobby, red and white cardstock from Bazzill, SU! Real Red ink, twine, and a star blingy. There are also 3 scored lines across the bottom of the card, but you cannot see them in the picture.

rainy day challenges

Call me butter, I am on a ROLL~ Two more challenges done today!

I was bored last night, so after cruising the blogs, I came across Card Patterns, saw a cute sketch, and this is what I came up with for Sketch 21. Image is from Great Impressions, SU! so saffron cs, cherry red and blue shimmer cs from Bazzill, mini silver eyelets, printed paper form My Mind's Eye @ Hobby Lobby, and red grosgrain ribbon. TA-DA!

And THIS lovely card is my interpretation for Sweet Sketch Wednesday's Sketch #4. I duuno about this one. You ever made a card and then, when all done, looked at and thought, "Hmmm, I dunno if it still meets the requirements for the challenge." But anyways, I may go back and try to come up with something else this weekend. Oh, and be sure to check out SSW on July 4th for an added challenge!
